Hello brothers and sisters, and welcome to the Jungian Aion!

This is the extended and restored version of the 1957 interview, featuring additional footage that I’ve included, which wasn’t previously available on YouTube. I’ve also reorganized the segments to reflect the chronological sequence of the four days over which the interview took place.
I’ve also added accurate subtitles. The restoration process involved various tools, including AI. Since the original was difficult to hear or even inaudible at times due to its extremely poor quality, there are moments where, despite restoration efforts, the sound remains problematic, and at times – AI sounding. In these instances, the subtitles help ensure that Jung’s thoughts are clear and not lost.

In this insightful 1957 interview, Dr. Richard Evans is interviewing Carl Gustav Jung, the most influential psychologist to have ever existed. Filmed at Jung’s home in Küsnacht, Switzerland, this interview offers a unique glimpse into Jung’s thoughts on the unconscious, intuition, synchronicity, healing and his groundbreaking theories that continue to shape modern psychology.

Over the course of four one-hour sessions, Jung discusses the genesis of his ideas, including the development of analytical psychology and the role of archetypes and the collective unconscious. This interview is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the history of psychology and Jung’s lasting impact on our understanding of the mind.

These filmed interviews were not only a profound discussion on analytical psychology but also provided a closer look at Jung’s personality, his intellectual vigor in his later years, and his continued impact on the field. It was intended for educational purposes and has since become an essential resource for Jungian scholars.

I strive to mediate the profound light that Jung himself brought forth through his work and life. It is part of my life’s purpose. In many ways, we modern humans have lost touch with the core of our being—our psyche, our soul. Jung guides us back to that source in a way uniquely suited to our modern consciousness. Through his teachings, I have found the most meaningful path toward realizing my own potential for wholeness, joy, maturity, and creativity.

Jung mapped the inner world with remarkable clarity, revealing where our psyche and civilization stand and what is necessary for our individual and collective growth. With his guidance, I hope we can keep our inner flames burning in the midst of the darkness that surrounds and inhabits us, thus promoting in our world and selves – health, courage, and reflection.
